November Stone Grinding Schedule

Stone Grinding Schedule

You've been training this summer and fall to get the most from your skiing, so make sure your skis aren't a limiter.

Prepare all of your skis to run their best with a fresh grind and hotbox service. At Nordic Ultratune, a grind batch starts every Thursday and those skis are ready for shipping on the following Monday -- just 4 days later.

Return shipping is by FedEx.  So, typically skis that are shipped out on Monday will typically arrive back to you on Thursday.

Here's the upcoming service schedule at Nordic Ultratune. Use these dates to make sure you get your skis ready before your most important races.
  • Skis in by Nov 1st will ship out on Nov 5th.
  • Skis in by Nov 8th will ship back out on Nov 12th
  • Skis in by Nov 15th will ship back out on Nov 19th
  • Skis in by Nov 22nd will ship back out on Nov 26th
  • Skis in by Nov 29th will ship back out on Dec 3rd.
Shop hours:

  • The shop is open from 11-5 Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon each week.   Closed on Tues/Wed.

    • If you're in the Methow Valley, stop in and say Hi!  You can check out the selection of Madshus, Atomic and Rossignol skis and boots, and extensive supply of wax for glide or grip.

It's time for getting your skis ready for the season!

Snow in the mountains & skis in the shop!

We got a bit of snow up in the mountains last night.

Snow on Goat Pk, Oct 9th
Here in the Methow Valley, at the valley floor, we are at about 2000 feet of elevation.   The snow level this morning is at about 4000' and maybe a bit less.    Not enough for skiing, but enough to get any skier with a pulse excited about the coming winter season.

New Atomic S9 Carbon Redster Skate Skis
Skis are arriving at Nordic Ultratune.     A ton of the Atomic S9 Carbon Redster skate skis have arrived, and also a big bunch of the Redster C9 Skintech skis are in stock now.

Madshus Redline 2.0 skis have been picked in Norway and are in transit.     If you'd like a pair of these skis, get on it right away.   Quantities are limited (they're supposed to be a 2019/2020 ski, but a few of the skis are leaking from their race room).

And of course stone grinding is in full swing.   Get your skis ready early this year!
      RedLine 2.0 skis for Ultratune.
